These terms cover your use of ljtranslate. By using the app you agree to them.
ljtranslate translates speech between languages in real time. It requires an internet connection and depends on third-party services we do not control.
We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the service.
Machine translation makes mistakes. Translations may be inaccurate, incomplete or misleading, particularly with specialist terminology, names, numbers, dialects and background noise.
Do not rely on this app where a mistranslation could cause harm. That includes medical, legal, financial, safety-critical and emergency situations. It is not a substitute for a qualified human interpreter.
The service is provided "as is", with no warranty of accuracy or fitness for any particular purpose.
New users get a one-off free trial, and registered accounts get a monthly free allowance. The exact amounts are shown in the app and may change.
Free capacity is limited overall. We may pause new free accounts when that capacity is reached.
Do not attempt to evade these limits, for example by repeatedly creating accounts or tampering with device identifiers.
Do not use the app to break the law, to record people without the consent their local law requires, or to interfere with the service or other users.
You are responsible for having permission to translate the conversations you capture. Recording laws differ by country.
You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings.
Nothing is sold in the app today. Paid subscriptions are not available yet; registering interest in a plan costs nothing, commits you to nothing, and is not a purchase.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from reliance on a translation.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
These terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Nothing in them takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country you live in.
